This work is an experimental video collage, a rhapsody of sorts exploring the relationship between visual imagery, language, and sound. It's a dream on prehistorical or even the post-human world where the only living things are things of soil and sound. It is the vision of the environment so alien, where man is faced with noise signal-like interceptions and flickering images, displaced and taken beyond the realms of familiarities, only invited to observe. The idea is to question the liveliness of the “unliving” things, like stones. Never truly inert, stone poses a profound challenge to modernity’s disenchantments. Its agency undermines the human desire to be separate from the environment, a bifurcation that renders nature “out there,” a mere resource for recreation, consumption, and exploitation.
